I’m a career medical doctor (Health Informatics) with a knack for data. I have been involved with openEHR since 2019, having first used the specifications at a JKUAT’s Tech Innovation 9th Edition where I used openEHR only as a learning tool during clinical rotations. In 2023 Peri Bloom was privileged to be recognized by an Acumen EA Fellow and subsequently invited to a hackathon organized in Partnership with Common Thread UK, WHO, UNICEesaro, MoH Kenya. Where using openEHR & FHIRstandards our system demonstrated how care can be coordinated a predicted Cholera outbreak paraboda (CHV’s) playing the vital link between patient and provider at the community level and we emerged as winners.
