Don Sweete is the Chief Executive Officer of SNOMED International, a role he has held since 2014. With over 30 years of leadership and executive management experience, he oversees all aspects of the organisation, including product content, technical support, and customer relationship management. Since joining, he has focused on expanding SNOMED International’s global strategy and vision.

Before becoming CEO, Sweete served on SNOMED International’s Management Board from 2011 to 2013, contributing to key committees. Prior to that, he was Executive Regional Director at Canada Health Infoway, where he led digital health implementations and national standards initiatives.

A graduate of Dalhousie University, Sweete has extensive experience in health services and health information technology, holding senior roles in both commercial and governmental sectors throughout his career.
