Dr. Marieke F. Buffing has over 10 years of experience in applying analytical methods to solve large scale data-related problems in life science and healthcare. She is a data-and-AI-expert in EY’s EMEIA-based Digital Health Excellence Center (DHEC). Marieke has led strategic and technical projects to leverage data, digital and AI solutions on real world data for personalized healthcare, (health economic) modeling, and data-driven (clinical) decision making. Apart from her role in health analytics and AI, she has developed numerous trainings for healthcare professionals as well as technical experts to ensure that gathering of healthcare data is well-embedded in the work-life of professionals, to ensure that the data is FAIR and secure for use in clinical decision making.
