Dr Varadraj Gurupur, Ph.D., is an associate professor at the University of Central Florida’s School of Global Health Management and Informatics. His research focuses on software engineering decision support systems for healthcare and education. He holds three patents, has over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and has received multiple international, national, and regional awards. With over 15 years of teaching experience, Dr Gurupur also has extensive industry experience in healthcare. He chaired IEEE’s Orlando section (2021-2023) and founded its Data Quality for Electronic Health Records Workgroup. In 2023, he won the IEEE Joseph M. Biedenbach Outstanding Engineering Educator Award.
