Region Östergötland and six other county councils in Sweden are collaborating to make a Request For Information (RFI) on openEHR platforms and tools. This is great news for the openEHR community, as these county councils represent two thirds of Sweden’s population. The RFI was published on April 14th and will be publicly available through TED on April 17th. The deadline for answering the RFI is May 5th.
All the information can be found on our Discourse page.
The RFI is also an invitation for digital contractor demo sessions that will take place on May 31st, June 1st and June 2nd. If necessary, a back-up demo day is scheduled for June 5th. The details about these demo sessions are all included in the RFI announcement.
This is a fantastic opportunity for openEHR platform and tool providers to showcase their solutions to these county councils, who are responsible for delivering healthcare services to a significant portion of Sweden’s population. The RFI will provide a chance for these county councils to explore the potential of openEHR and its ability to enable interoperability, flexibility, and future-proofing of their healthcare systems.
Demos recorded three years ago are available to view on youtube. Upcoming demos will be recorded and published in the same way in June.
Our congratulations to Region Östergötland and the other county councils for taking this step towards improving the quality of healthcare in Sweden through the adoption of openEHR.
