Thomas Beale, founding member of openEHR, has accepted the role of VP, Informatics at Graphite Health. Thomas has played a vital role in our journey so far, and he will continue to be involved as a Director on both the openEHR International and Foundation Boards. While he is stepping down as Co-chair of the Specification Editorial Committee, he will remain involved in the committee.
In the words of Professor David Ingram, “Thomas Beale’s move to Graphite Health is a landmark event for us and for them.” Graphite’s work aligns closely with our own mission to bring greater coherence to digital care records and healthcare information systems and their backing from major players such as Kaiser Permanente and Intermountain Healthcare is a testament to their commitment.
We are grateful for Thomas’s contributions over the last thirty years and wish him and his family every success in their move to Salt Lake City.
